Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 September 2026 — Beta version

Draft, plain-language beta terms. This page describes how Synora's private beta works today. It is not a substitute for formal legal advice, and it should be reviewed by a lawyer before Synora is offered outside the closed beta.

1. What Synora is

Synora is a companion app for people managing endometriosis, adenomyosis, PMOS, perimenopause or menopause, combining cycle-aware recipes, symptom tracking and educational content. Synora is currently in private beta: features may change, break, or be reset without notice while we test.

2. Not medical advice

Synora provides general nutrition information, educational content and recipe suggestions. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not a substitute for advice from your doctor, gynaecologist, dietitian or other qualified healthcare provider. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional with any questions about a medical condition.

3. Who can use Synora

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Synora account. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you'll keep your login details secure.

4. Your data

How we collect, use and protect your data is described in our Privacy & Beta Terms, which forms part of these terms.

5. Optional third-party integrations

Synora may let you connect third-party services — for example, a wearable device such as an Oura ring — to enrich your symptom journal with data like sleep, heart rate variability or temperature trends. These integrations are optional, governed by the third party's own terms in addition to ours, and can be disconnected at any time from within the app.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Some features may require a paid subscription, billed through our payment processor (Stripe). Where a free trial is offered, you can cancel any time before it ends to avoid being charged. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel your subscription from within the app at any time.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Synora — including attempting to access other users' data, reverse-engineer the app, scrape or bulk-extract content, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual property

Synora's content, design, recipes and educational material are owned by Synora or its licensors. Your own data (journal entries, logged symptoms, etc.) remains yours — you can export it at any time via the in-app backup feature.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Synora is provided "as is" during this beta period, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Synora and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Ending your account

You may stop using Synora and request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing hello@synora.health. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

Because Synora is in active beta, these terms may be updated as the app evolves. We'll make a reasonable effort to let beta users know about material changes.

12. Contact & governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@synora.health.
